From Helpless to Empowered

This video explores the tools I use to manage pain and continue healing in my body.  There are six segments in this video:

1) Symptom Management through Medication

2) Salt Baths and Hot Water Bottles

3) Self-Massage

4) Movement—yoga and “impulse movement”

5) Rebounding

6) The BEMER

I use these tools to help move my body from stagnation to circulation. This process begins with a psychological shift—from helplessness to empowerment.  This psychological shift must take place in order for the physical body to begin to shift.

Unedited Anguish

This video was made during a night of torment that lasted for well over ten hours.  The video will be difficult for some to watch.  It’s about twenty minutes long, but a three-minute clip of it is included in the Managing Symptoms video 9/30/14.  The night this was made, I was in extreme pain, almost to the point of being delirious.  I had tried sleeping medication, pain medication, and all the tools in my natural healing toolbox, but the pain persisted.  Somehow I stumbled into my video room and managed to record myself in this state.  I don’t know what inspired me to shoot this or how I found the capacity to complete the task in such a condition.
