Liver Protect supplement
The information below is a simplified explanation of the liver and its functions, focusing on the liver’s role in detoxification and digestion. For more comprehensive information, please check the links at the bottom of this page, along with other resources on the internet.
The liver is the second largest organ in our body, after the skin, and is essential to daily functioning. Everything we eat, drink, breathe, or absorb through the skin must all go through the liver. That means the liver is subjected to any and all toxins we’re exposed to, including pesticides, synthetic hormones, food additives, and much more.
Ideally, the liver converts toxins into less harmful ones and/or eliminates them from the body. However, if the toxic load is too large for the liver to eliminate everything, some toxins may end up inside the liver cells or create free radicals that can damage the liver and overall health.
This is why it’s so important to support your liver health in every way you can. There are many liver support supplements on the market, and the formulas vary. Some of the common ingredients you’ll find in these formulas include:
- Glutathione
- Selenium
- Milk Thistle
- Dandelion
A supplement I have used is Liver Protect from Xymogen. This is just one of many good liver-support supplements available. It’s best to do some research to find out which supplement would best work for your body and the protocol you’re following. Also, it’s always good to consult with a physician or health specialist before adding any new supplement to your regimen.
Please remember that I am not a doctor, health specialist, or cancer specialist. I simply share my experiences and the choices I have made because the journey itself has been rich and medical information can be overloading and confusing. I hope to support others in believing in themselves and navigating through these tricky waters with more grace and less fear.
